SIRANE’S medical and healthcare products will be exhibited across the Atlantic for the first time later this year as we head to the popular Pharma Expo in Las Vegas.
We’ll be taking a range of medical and healthcare products, including absorbent products, specimen transportation, surface protection and some advanced solutions.
Pharma Expo is co-hosted at Pack Expo, one of North America’s largest trade shows. Pack Expo is being held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from September 28-30. Pharma Expo would be a sizeable show in its own right – 2014 saw 262 exhibitors over 60,000 sq ft.
Adam Green, president, Sirane North America, said: “Sirane’s expertise in areas such as absorbency and material science means that we have some very exciting and innovative products to offer to the North American market for the first time.
“Pharma Expo and Pack Expo is a terrific show, and a great place for us to show off our medical and healthcare range for the first time in the US. Products such as Sira-Care DiffX and BenchGuard Advanced should provoke a lot of interest.”
Hospital and healthcare providers looking to save money can do so by using a powerful new disinfection system which both cleans and disinfects at the same time – Sira-Care DiffX – and this is one of the products which we will focus on for this trade show.
Sira-Care DiffX eliminates all surface contamination 100% and has the potential to not only revolutionise global infection control but also contribute significant financial saving. It is already used by an ever-growing number of NHS hospitals in the UK.
“When used as part of a cleaning regime it both cleans and disinfects at the same time, so there is a clear time saving,” said Simon Balderson, Sirane MD, “but it can also save money by keeping wards clean, disinfected and infection free, reducing lost bed days, the cost of decontamination, cost of antibiotics and treatments, staff sickness and agency staff.
“As it is non-corrosive it also maximises equipment use – again, leading to financial savings.”
An exciting addition to Sirane’s already popular Sira-Care range, the company is already working on providing the product in new formats to complement the existing range – the first of which is hoped will be producing a pack of Sira-Care DiffX handy wipes.
Sira-Care DiffX truly represents a new generation of infection control. It is non-chlorine-based, non-corrosive, cleans and disinfects at the same time, and eliminates all surface contamination – including MRSA and viruses, C Diff spores, Norovirus, TB and Mycrobacteria.
BenchGuard® Advanced offers the ultimate bench protection for laboratories, hospitals, surgeries and other clinical environments where high absorbency and sterile surface protection is required. It has a highly absorbent surface and an effective liquid barrier layer to ensure that spillages are contained and protect the work top.
Jonathan Mason, Sirane’s business development manager, said: “BenchGuard® Advanced is an absorbent, impermeable faced cellulosic fabric suitable for protection of laboratory benches and similar surfaces from spillage. It should prove very popular in the US.”
BenchGuard® Advanced is strong and tear resistant even when wet and its flat smooth surface can be written on with pencil or ink. Used BenchGuard® Advanced can be readily disposed of after use and its clean composition means that it is suitable for incineration.
BenchGuard® Advanced is available in pre-cut sheets of various sizes and also in reel/roll format. It is also available with adhesive strips, preventing movement on the work bench.
Other products which will be on show at Pharma Expo include disposable absorbent non-slip theatre mats (OR mats), specimen transportation solutions including bags, pads and multi-bay pouches, 95 kPa bags, and active pouches for disabling potentially harmful drugs.
Sirane is a highly innovative product development-to-manufacture company based in Telford, Shropshire. It has four divisions: food packaging; medical and healthcare; industrial and horticultural. The company can supply anywhere across the world.
